Rhys William Nicolson - Founder

Rhys William Nicolson is a producer, director and cinematographer with experience developing and delivering factual, documentary and entertainment content for Australian and international audiences. He is the founder of Giant Moth, a recently established independent production company developing premium factual, documentary and scripted projects alongside experienced Australian producers.

Prior to founding Giant Moth, Rhys was Senior Producer at Fat Poodle, leading premium documentary and branded productions for global clients including Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+, Paramount+, and Stan. His producing and cinematography credits include Jess Fox: Whitewater (Stan/Nine), Price to Dakar (SBS), Wyrmwood: Apocalypse and After She Died. He also created and produced the contemporary vertical-first documentary series Link in Bio, which amassed more than two million organic views across social platforms.

Previously, Rhys was Head of Originals at LADbible Australia, where he developed and produced original factual and entertainment programming, alongside senior production roles across digital, broadcast and commercial media.

Rhys brings experience across development, financing, production and visual storytelling, with a passion for character-driven narratives and distinctive Australian stories. Through Giant Moth, he is developing a slate of premium factual and scripted projects

Kristen Dagg is an award-winning producer, writer and story producer with more than 20 years' experience developing and delivering premium factual, entertainment and children's television for Australia's leading broadcasters and international platforms.

At Giant Moth, Kristen leads factual development, story production and post-production, bringing deep editorial experience and an instinct for finding the emotional heart of every story. She has a proven track record of shaping complex ideas into engaging, audience-focused content, from broadcast series and documentaries to branded storytelling.

Kristen's recent credits include Series Producer of ABC's Gardening Australia Junior (Seasons 2 & 3), Post Producer on the International Emmy Award-winning Built to Survive (ABC), and Series Producer of Nickelodeon's Ready Set Dance, now distributed to more than 120 countries. Her career also includes The Cook Up with Adam Liaw, The Living Room, The Dog House, Dogs Behaving Very Badly, Camp Orange, Kids' Choice Awards, Slimefest, and development and production roles with Fremantle, Network 10, Foxtel, LADbible Australia and Nickelodeon.
